Lots of organisations advertise training courses in newspapers. If you’re being asked to pay for training you need to check a few things first to make sure you’re not wasting your time and your money!

  • Could you do the course for free (through Government funding) at college or through an apprenticeship?
  • Is the course up to date and accepted by the industry?
  • Will it lead to a job or do you need work experience as well?
