You should receive your National Insurance card shortly before your 16th birthday. The card will tell you your National Insurance number.
If you've already had your 16th birthday and still not received your National Insurance card you need to call the the National Insurance Registration Helpline on 0845 915 7006. They will give you advice about what to do.
If you lose your National Insurance card or can't remember the number, you should also contact the Helpline .
