Top Tips
- A CV should be presented on good quality paper (white or cream), be separate from any covering letter and not more than two sides of A4
- If possible word process it, (Connexions offices have computers with CV templates on for you).
- If you use Vacancies Online, you will be able to attach your CV to applications and store it for future use.
- If you have to write it then make sure your writing is neat and always use a black pen.
- Check spelling and grammar.
- Make sure your CV is clear and well presented. You can change the layout to draw attention to your individual strengths or to suit a particular job you are applying for.
- Be positive about yourself.
- Keep it simple, relevant and uncluttered.
- Get your CV photocopied for multiple use.
