Interviews can be different – some will be casual, some will be formal.
If you have been told you will be taking an assessment test, take along pen, pencil, eraser etc.
You may go through a series of interviews with different people all on the same day.
You may be offered the chance to look around the organisation and to see some of the staff you could be working with.
Almost certainly you will be asked why you have applied, so it is useful to practice your answers to likely interview questions such as:
‘What do you feel you can bring to this job?’
‘Why did you choose this particular job?’
‘What are your long term ambitions?’
‘What are your main strengths?’
You may find the following examples of questions useful if you are applying for a job straight from school:-
'What subject did you like doing at school and why?’
‘Do you have any hobbies or are you involved with any activities in your spare time?’
‘Where did you go on work experience?’
‘What grades are you expecting to get in your GCSEs?’
