In April 2008 Apprentices from Connexions Nottinghamshire met and began a project called the ‘Apprentice Case Study Project’. We managed and led the project. All nine of us who took part in the project have either completed or are still completing our apprenticeships.
The purpose of our project is to promote to young people the benefits of taking on an Apprenticeship and also to promote to employers the benefits of having an Apprentice in their Company.
We also want to help with the Government’s aims towards promoting Apprenticeships within the public sector.
As a group, we decided that the best way to promote Apprenticeships to young people was through sharing our own personal experiences of what it is like to learn, gain qualifications and work in the real world.
